By 2026, there are expected to be 2.6 million middle-skilled jobs throughout Virginia —positions that require education beyond a high school diploma, but not a four-year degree. Ranging across six in-demand fields like healthcare, IT and hospitality, these roles offer stable, well-paying career opportunities with plenty of room for growth.
Each of Virginia’s 23 community colleges offers a unique list of training programs that qualify for G3 tuition assistance, designed specifically to reflect the workforce needs of their region. Because each community has different employment needs, G3 programs vary by college, ensuring students gain skills that align with the in-demand careers in their area.
